Delicious Treats Are Our Passion!

Smooch is a high-end dessert bar with a menu that includes thick, American-style, milkshakes blended with leading confectionery brands, stuffed bubble waffles, ice creams, bubble teas, luxury hot chocolates and more. Everything we offer is available for takeaway, allowing people to grab-and-go but we also have a small seating area in the shop.
 

With exciting plans for the future already in the pipeline, this is the first of three sites planned for the next two years.

 

Having returned to Altrincham with his young children a few years ago, Smooch owner, Peter, was amazed by how much regeneration had taken place in the town centre. He also noticed a gap in the market. “As Altrincham is a very family-centred town, I was surprised at how few places there are that cater more specifically for kids and young adults. I’d pick up my children from nursery and there was nowhere to take them for a nice treat - either an ice cream or sweet snack. I believe kids should have choice as much as the adults... even better if we can enjoy it too!”

 

Karon, Peter's partner, spent her career in the beauty industry and in retail. She relocated from the Wirral in 2020 and immediately fell in love with Altrincham. “I quickly felt at home in this amazing town and I have loved visiting its amazing restaurants and bars and getting to know people."
